Clinical Waste Management Services
Legislation in Malaysia will incorporate statutes governing the management and safe disposal of clinical
waste from healthcare premises, public, private or veterinarian practices.
The Ministry of Health is paving the way by contracting out clinical waste management under very strict
specifications covering both collection and disposal.
From collection to disposal, the management of clinical waste on behalf of hospitals is in adherence to
strict safety standards and is done in a non-hazardous manner.
Carrying out this task could include the collection, storage and transportation of the waste for
incineration which is in accordance with the department of environment's approved guidelines. The
spillages are dealt in the safest and most efficient manner.
Service providers are committed to meeting the targets set by the Ministry of Health which are at the
highest of international standards.
