Bio Medical Engineering Management Services
The primary purpose of Biomedical Engineering Management Services (BEMS) is to ensure that
every medical equipment undergoes comprehensive and planned preventive maintenance on a
regular basis and any breakdown is rectified within a specified response time. The services
provided ensure that Doctors can go about their work in full knowledge that all the bio-medical
equipment available is well maintained and fit for use, all the time.
The maintenance of the equipment will adhere to the standards set by the Ministry of Health,
and will be conducted regularly to ensure a minimal downtime.
Services under BEMS include engineering maintenance for all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment,
operating theatres, laboratory, radiology and electronic equipment as well as provision of spare parts.
Service providers are committed to meeting the uptime target set by the Ministry of Health
