About SIHAT
Sistem Hospital Awasan Taraf Sdn. Bhd. (SIHAT) is the in house consultancy arm for the Ministry of Health,
Malaysia. We provide consultancy services, and are responsible for monitoring and assessing the
performances of three concession companies.
The concession companies concerned are involved in the 5 privatised hospital support services, namely
Facility Engineering Maintenance Services, Biomedical Engineering Maintenance Services,
Linen and Laundry Services, Clinical Wastes Management Services, and Cleansing Services.
SIHAT was appointed by the Ministry of Health on 27th October 1997, and subsequently reappointed on
1st March 2006 for another 3 years with an option for extension of an additional 2 years.
